Let’s Talk about Sex!

Just as the relational cycle is a powerful tool for understanding couples relationship dynamics and creating intimacy, understanding a couple’s sexual cycle can create powerful healing for our couples. While most of us are not AASECT certified sex therapists, we can develop confidence in addressing some common sexual concerns. Come talk with us about how we’ve grown in this area and share your own experience.  A few topics that will be discussed are:

• Assessment questions- how do we assess our couple’s sexual relationship quality as it relates to pleasure, intimacy, trust, connection?
• How female sexuality is often misunderstood causing unnecessary hurt and rejection
• Spontaneous sexual desire vs. responsive and physical arousal 
• A few simple ways to address common sexual difficulties
• How affairs impact sex with the original couple
• Mapping the sexual cycle- Who pursues? Who withdraws?  Who initiates? Where do they get stuck?
